Patanjali Foods Limited Mar-23 Quarter (Patanjali Foods), Revenue nearly maintains by 0.7% to Rs.7873 Crore and Profit shrinks by 2.0% to Rs.264 Crore

Patanjali Foods, has announced a revenue of Rs.7873 Crore, which has nearly similar by 0.7% as compared to previous quarter revenue of Rs.7926.6402 Crore.                                                 

                                                           

The Major Segments have been, Edible Oils and Food & FMCG. The share of each major segments are Edible Oils : 6136.3881 Crore [77.9%] and Food & FMCG : 1805.1844 Crore [22.9%]. The change in segment revenue of Edible Oils segment balloons by 290.8% and Food & FMCG segment turndowns by -70.2% during the quarter.                                                  

  



                                                         

On analysis, it is observed that EBITDA (Operating Profit) Margin has nearly remains regular to 4.1% from 4.6% . The reason for the nearly similar of EBITDA Margin is due to,                                                      

a) Cost to Revenue % of Cost of Sales has slighly changes to 88.2% (Previous Quarter: 87.7%). Cost of Sales has nearly remains uniform from Rs.6948 Crore to 6940 Crore.

b) Cost to Revenue % of Employee Cost has nearly maintain to 1.0% (Previous Quarter: 0.9%). Employee Cost has grown from Rs.73 Crore to 77 Crore.                                                

c) Cost to Revenue % of Other Expenses has nearly remain flat to 6.7% (Previous Quarter: 6.8%). Other Expenses has shrinks from Rs.538 Crore to 529 Crore.                                                   


The finance cost has increases sharply from Rs.19 Crore to 24 Crore by 24.7%.                                    ­

  



On an annual basis, the company has clocked revenue of Rs. 31525 Crore. It has flies by 30.2% from previous financial year revenue of Rs. 24205 Crore.                                                        

                                                           

Profit has surge to Rs.886 Crore from Rs.806 Crore, a year ago. Net Profit After Tax Margin has nearly remains regular from 3.3% to 2.8%. Primary reason that profit has surge during the year is due:                                                     

a) Cost to Revenue % of Cost of Sales has surge to 89.1% (Previous Year: 87.5%). In Absolute, Cost of Sales has balloons from Rs.21168 Crore to 28074 Crore.                                                 

b) Cost to Revenue % of Employee Cost has flies to 0.9% (Previous Year: 0.8%). In Absolute, Employee Cost has zooms from Rs.186 Crore to 278 Crore.                                                 

c) Cost to Revenue % of Other Expenses has rises to 6.0% (Previous Year: 5.6%). In Absolute, Other Expenses has jumps from Rs.1364 Crore to 1892 Crore.                                                 

                                                           

The finance cost during the year has decreases sharply from Rs.355 Crore to 239 Crore by -32.7%                                                   

Price to Earning (PE) ratio of the company is 39.8 as compared to the Industry PE of 51.75. High PE signifies that there can be scope of correction in prices in future, unless market estimates high growth in the company. Companies Return on Equity (ROE) is 9.0% and Return of Capital Employed (ROCE) is 12.5%                                                  

 

Company has in the past four years reflected a Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) in Revenue of 17.9% and a CAGR in profit of the past four years of 6.8% .
