Recognizing this pressing need, Manish K Prahlad, along with Maya Zeph, Vimal Shastri, and Dr. Navneet, founded Verdant Impact in January 2020. Prahlad's educational background in Public Policy and Governance, coupled with his firsthand experience in the rural sector, equipped him to address the critical gaps in India's livestock healthcare system. Verdant Impact aims to revolutionize livestock care and sustainability through innovative solutions tailored to the unique challenges faced by rural farmers.

Verdant Impact's comprehensive approach to addressing the healthcare gaps in India's rural cattle farming industry encompasses telemedicine, livestock management, and DNA analysis for informed breeding decisions. Through its telemedicine facility, Animal ICU, the startup offers real-time diagnostics, remote monitoring, and virtual veterinary consultations, empowering farmers with expert guidance and timely interventions. Moreover, the use of RFID tags and under-skin implants facilitates efficient livestock management, enabling farmers to monitor their animals' health, location, and lineage with precision.

Operating on a B2B2C model, Verdant Impact generates revenue through direct sales, commissions, and co-branding efforts. Its user-centric pricing model ensures accessibility, with nominal charges for teleconsultations and field visits. The startup has gained significant traction, boasting over 25,000 monthly active users and 18,000 paying customers primarily in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, strategic partnerships with district governments have further bolstered Verdant Impact's revenue streams, highlighting its potential for scalability and impact.

Despite its promising trajectory, Verdant Impact is poised for further growth and expansion. With recent grants from institutions like BITS Pilani and NABARD's climate change fund, the startup is now seeking additional funding to scale its operations nationwide and invest in brand building. With ambitious revenue targets set for the coming years, Verdant Impact is poised to make a meaningful difference in the lives of rural farmers and the broader livestock ecosystem, bridging crucial healthcare gaps and fostering sustainable agricultural practices for the future.
