Ambit Finvest Secures Rs 690 Crore Funding to Boost MSME Lending

Ambit Finvest, a leading NBFC firm, has secured Rs 690 crore in funding to further its mission of providing financial solutions to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) across India.

The investment highlights the growing interest in the Indian NBFC sector and its potential to expand financial inclusion.


Japanese securities giant Daiwa Securities Group led the funding round with a Rs 415 crore investment, acquiring a minority stake in Ambit Finvest. This strategic partnership underscores the confidence international investors have in the Indian NBFC landscape.


The remaining Rs 275 crore came from existing Ambit shareholders, demonstrating their continued commitment to the company's growth.


Ambit Finvest boasts a strong track record, having disbursed over Rs 6,000 crore in loans and managing assets exceeding Rs 3,800 crore since its inception in 2018. With a network of 165 branches across 11 states, the company is poised for further expansion.


Ashok Wadhwa, Group CEO of Ambit, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration with Daiwa, emphasizing the crucial role MSMEs play in India's economic development. He believes this funding will be instrumental in enhancing access to formal credit facilities for these businesses.


Seiji Nakata, President and CEO of Daiwa Securities Group, acknowledged India's strategic importance and its projected economic growth, highlighting their confidence in the Indian market.

This significant funding round positions Ambit Finvest for a major growth surge, enabling them to empower MSMEs and contribute to India's financial inclusivity goals.
